Wake up to the scent of fresh-brewed coffee on the ocean breeze and prepare to enjoy a delightful breakfast on our relaxing front porch, or in our beautiful dining room. Each morning from 8 to 9:30 we put the breakfast in B&B, serving your choice of two entrées accompanied by homemade pastries and fresh fruit. Our talented chefs prepare everything from scratch right here at Sand Bar Cottage, and we rotate our selections each day so that you can enjoy a variety of our favorite recipes during your stay with us. If you have any particular dietary restrictions please do let us know when you arrive as we are happy to do our best to accommodate. Each afternoon you may also return for tea time, a rotating assortment of homemade refreshments arranged in our dining room, and you can fill us in on your day’s adventures in Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park! Our innkeepers are very passionate about ensuring you get the ideal Maine experience you are hoping for, so if there’s anything else we can do for you please do let us know. See you soon!

  • My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Sandbar. The bedroom we stayed and the common areas on the ground floor were very inviting and comfortable. Chris and his team went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant visit. Each morning there were two breakfast options (one savory, one sweet) and in the afternoon some homemade treats to go with the coffee and tea. Highly recommend.

  • I can't recommend Sand Bar Cottage enough. My girlfriend and I were looking for a quiet night in a busy place and we found it here. Chris, the innkeeper, was incredibly courteous and considerate. The location itself had incredible amounts of charm and offered an experience that would satisfy tourists from faraway, or (like us) those from other parts of Maine. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, by far the best I've had in any hotel / inn / cottage — utterly fantastic.
